There’s No Tomorrow

Today is my 77th Birthday and I celebrate with a song. There is No Tomorrow – a love song explaining “now is forever when love is true.” Pretty much describes our lives. All we have is the now, today to enjoy, love and cherish. We hope there is a tomorrow, but we live in the now and with our memories. I paged through my fake books looking for a song for today and stopped here. Then, after I practiced it, I realized it is a tune with many names. LOL “There’s No Tomorrow”, written by Al Hoffman, Leo Corday and Leon Carr, is one of two popular songs based on the Italian song, “O Sole Mio” (music by Eduardo di Capua). Parisienne Carousel

This is a beautiful little waltz written by George Frank for his son when his ship hit Paris on his tour of duty to the Middle East. The first section is horses going up and down while the carousel goes around. The second section is a little touch of sadness, in other words “life is not just as bed of roses, into each life some rain must fall. Spanish Eyes is a great song and I don’t think I ever played a job in the past without playing it. A great crowd pleaser. “Moon Over Naples” is a 1964 instrumental composed and originally performed by German bandleader Bert Kaempfert. Round and Round. A fun impromptu video. A boring and lonely Saturday night, so Mr. Roland said open a book – to any page. Quickly saw Round and Round pop up. So we were off and dancing awaying. A really fun song. I remember listening to it many times when it was a Perry Como hit. Sing along, dance along and enjoy the bebop scatt singers. “Round and Round” is a popular song by Joe Shapiro and Lou Stallman published in 1956. A version of the song was recorded by Perry Como for RCA Victor on January 15, 1957 and was a big hit that year.… Read the rest

Sugartime played by Pat Walter with her Roland FR 4X Digital Accordion recorded on Jun 3, 2020. I thought I would give it a little facelift and share it a year later. At least I know what I was doing that day last year besides sitting by myself and worrying about Covid. “Sugartime” is a popular song written by Charlie Phillips and Odis Echols, and published in 1957.
