Yellow Bird

The earliest vocal version was recorded by Freddy Quinn in 1965 titled as “Spanish Eyes”… Read the rest
Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White
Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. Donna Marie reminding me of this great song. I remember playing it when I was very young, once upon a time! Fun song to play. I couldn’t get my trumpet to slide the way I wanted, so I turned to my Chorus. They knew how to do it and had a ball recording the video with me. I hope you will Cha Cha you way thru the day after listening to my video. “Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White” or “Cerezo Rosa” or “Ciliegi Rosa” or “Gummy Mambo”, is the English version of “Cerisiers Roses et Pommiers Blancs”, a popular song with music by Louiguy written in 1950.… Read the rest

So this is my effort to get warm and visit a warm place while dancing around a bit. LOL… Read the rest

Hernando’s Hideaway
Hernando’s Hideaway was from 1954 Broadway play “Pajama Game”. Words and music by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. I always had fun playing this tango. I remember my parents who seldom ever did anything since they were not rich, went to NY to see the Pajama Game. Don’t know where the money came from, but I can still see the program they brought back.It was red and ad 2 cartoon characters – a man with PJ bottoms on and a woman with PF tops on. I ended up making the video a bit longer than normal. I was supposed to stop part way thru the 3rd time, but who ever stops in the middle of a tango. I hope it might bring a smile to your face. It was one of those rainy, lonely Covid Saturdays – so I thought I would make a video!… Read the rest
