Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on December 6, 2020 by pwalterDecember 6, 2020

Nuttin’ For Christmas. Still having fun, but a little sad since I’m getting nothing for Christmas! LOL Cute song. Had fun doing the music and video. I hope it brings a smile to your face as you reminisce about your childhood. Words and music by Roy Bennet and Sid Tepper 1955. Thank You to the wonderful artists at Pixabay for the cute graphics.… Read the rest

Addams Family Theme

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on November 3, 2020 by pwalterNovember 3, 2020

Happy Halloween! I decided to do one more Halloween video, after all what else does a lone, single lady do on Halloween? I had so much fun with this one. Sorry, it went long. At 76, I can never remember if I did it 4 or 5 times! LOL The sound is a little crazy and the Roland is being pushed a bit into overdrive on purpose. So much fun. I hope you enjoy! The theme for the 1964 TV series The Addams Family was written and arranged by longtime Hollywood film and television composer Vic Mizzy. Thank You to … Read the rest

Tennessee Waltz

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on November 3, 2020 by pwalterNovember 3, 2020

Tennessee Waltz for my friend Jeanie. She requested it a long time ago but I hadn’t played it since she wanted me to sing it. HUM Surprisingly for such a simple song it has a bit more range in it than I have. I gave it a try and I realize that I am not a singer, but will entertain when I can. So for the sake of entertaining my friend, I did Tennessee Waltz for her. It is a very pretty song and very sad! “Tennessee Waltz” is a popular country music song with lyrics by Redd Stewart and … Read the rest

Purple People Eater

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on November 3, 2020 by pwalterNovember 3, 2020

The Purple People Eater – One more Halloween Sing Along. I always liked this song and loved to sing it back in the day. It was a lot of fun to sing today. Many words, but I got most of them in. Hope you enjoy it and sing along. “The Purple People Eater” is a novelty song written and performed by Sheb Wooley, which reached No. 1 in the Billboard pop charts in 1958 from June 9 to July 14… Read the rest

Edelweiss

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on October 16, 2020 by pwalterOctober 16, 2020

Edelweiss for the Oktoberfest month. Did you ever take a road trip to NY and end up in Florida? This was to be a Roland featured video with Mr. Weltmeister in the background. Roland never did do his thing right with many tries! The background track of the Weltmeister was very nice, so it became the main feature with a little singing. Still a nice acoustic accordion video. The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry! LOL “Edelweiss” is a show tune from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music. It is named after … Read the rest

Beer Barrel Polka

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on October 6, 2020 by pwalterOctober 6, 2020

Beer Barrel Polka played by Pat Walter with her Roland FR 4X and accompanied by herself with her Weltmeister Accordion. Just having fun for Okotoberfest time. Everyone seemed to like the last polka I – we did, so I thought, why not another. They are really fun to do, but a bit tricky. “Beer Barrel Polka”, also known as “The Barrel Polka” and “Roll Out the Barrel”, is a song which became popular worldwide during World War II. The music was composed by the Czech musician Jaromír Vejvoda in 1927.… Read the rest

Pennsylvania Polka

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on October 6, 2020 by pwalterOctober 6, 2020

Pennsylvania Polka for Shirley Ann who lives there and Sandy Dowd who rides her bike listening to it. I had a guest artist. I think she was drinking before she came to the studio. LOL She practiced, but hit some klinkers. I left them in because it made me and my Roland sound better. LOL I found out it is much more difficult than you think to play with yourself, but a lot of fun! LOL A polka for Oktoberfest Time. Hope you enjoy! I did. LOL… Read the rest

Marianne

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on September 27, 2020 by pwalterSeptember 27, 2020

Marianne is a request by my friend Shirley Ann. I make the videos for my friends to enjoy. They are not perfect, but hopefully they are fun and will get you singing and clapping your hands. “Mary Ann,” composed by calypsonian Roaring Lion (born name: Rafael de Leon) was popular with steelbands and revelers during a spontaneous Carnival celebration on V-J Day in Trinidad in 1945, at the end of World War II. The song’s lyrics alluded to Mary Ann’s occupation:… Read the rest

Clementine

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on September 27, 2020 by pwalterSeptember 27, 2020

Clementine is a request from one of my neighbors. A little different than what I usually do, had problems with the video and audio – so it got pasted together. LOL I hope you enjoy and sing along anyways. “Oh My Darling, Clementine” is an American western folk ballad in trochaic meter usually credited to Percy Montrose (1884), although it is sometimes credited to Barker Bradford. The song is believed to have been based on another song called “Down by the River Liv’d a Maiden” by H. S. Thompson (1863). It is commonly performed in the key of F Major. … Read the rest

Arkansas Traveler

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on September 12, 2020 by pwalterSeptember 12, 2020

Arkansas Traveler was a favorite when I was a kid. My lesson on December 11, 1952 was Arkansas Traveler. I have been looking at my old accordion music to play on my new little Weltmeister acoustic accordion. I found several I play over and over when is was young. Where we ever young? LOL I thought I would have more fun with it with the Roland FR 4X and all of its neat sounds. I had fun – I hope it might bring a smile to your face. “The Arkansas Traveler” was the state song of Arkansas from 1949 to … Read the rest

Why Don’t We Do This More Often

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on September 10, 2020 by pwalterSeptember 10, 2020

“Why Don’t We Do This More Often?” is a popular song written by Allie Wrubel and lyrics by Charles Newman, published in 1941. I am getting use to my new little, Weltmeister Achat 80 Accordion. I just got it and my friends wanted to hear how it sounds. It’s a little guy, but at my age I can’t lift anything much heavier. It sounds pretty nice for a small accordion, but adjusting after using my Roland FR 4X. I love my Roland, but just wanted an acoustic accoordion, too.… Read the rest
