I am trying to balance out recording vocals with Mr. Dino. Thought this would be a perfect sing along. I hope you enjoy my little Irish song. LOL… Read the rest

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on February 19, 2021 by pwalterFebruary 19, 2021

I was looking for a Latin number to play while thinking about being in a warm place. I found this song which was written in 1929. It seemed to be a good Latin beat song. I finally found it on the internet and it has been played every imaginable way – ballad, Latin, Swing and many other versions. So this is my effort to get warm and visit a warm place while dancing around a bit. LOL… Read the rest

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on February 17, 2021 by pwalterFebruary 17, 2021

J’Ai Deux Amours -Two Loves Have I. I think it can be a Valentine’s Day Song. I opened one of the fake books and this beautiful song was right there. Like pick a card, any card. This is open to a page, any page. I played it and really thought it a pretty song for Mr. Dino. Then went searching to find out more about the song. Turns out – old, old from 1927 written by Vincent Scotto, George Doger and Henri Varna. The interesting history is that everyone one in the world from the old days recorded it. In … Read the rest

Seul Ce Soir Or I Am Alone This Evening

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on February 6, 2021 by pwalterFebruary 6, 2021

Seul Ce Soir Or I Am Alone This Evening. Seems an appropriate song to play on a cold winter night. I like to play this and play it quite often. Usually without mistakes, but I guess the winter has gotten to my fingers. I left the few extra notes and just liked the whole song. I think you could go to sleep if you listen to the whole piece. It was written in 1941 by Paul Durand, Jean Cassonova & Rose Noel. It is French chanson and now fully integrated into the Gypsy jazz tradition, this is a lovely melody … Read the rest

Paris in Spring

Accordion Player Patricia Walter Posted on February 3, 2021 by pwalterFebruary 3, 2021

It’s a cold, winter February 1st, so I am dreaming of “Paris in Spring”. The background in the beginning is the view out my picture window as I practice and make videos. I thought, I needed to play a warm song and dream of warmer days. LOL “Paris in the Spring” is a popular song composed in 1935, with lyrics by Mack Gordon and music by Harry Revel. It was first introduced by Mary Ellis in the film Paris in Spring. A version was also recorded by Ray Noble and His Orchestra (also in 1935).… Read the rest
