My New Hats – A piece of silliness that came to life when my wonderful friend in NC asked me to tell her what I bought. Who doesn’t like buying hats on Amazon. LOL Such a selection. I find it fun to wear different hats with some of my videos. My silver, white hair gives the camera fits against the darker backgrounds. So a hat is a simple solution to a better looking video. I thought I would play a song for each hat!!!! That was fun filming. I am 76 and can’t remember my name some days, so trying to remember and transition between 5 songs was interesting and fun – to say the least. I should have been drinking, I am sure of that! Spring is Here. An absolutely beautiful old song. Matt posted the cover of the sheet music this morning. I looked it up and found this wonderful song. Written by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart in 1938 for the musical I Married An Angel. It is actually a bit sad since the singer is lamenting about the fact that he is sad since nobody loves him this Spring. March 1st – time for Irish Music. I love to play Irish music – although most of what I play is American Irish music, not traditional original Irish music. Back in the day, we always played at our local pub/bar/lounge for St. Patrick’s Day. Always great fun – always large crowds.
