Old Piano Roll Blues

Accordion Player Pat Posted on July 1, 2020 by pwalterJuly 16, 2020

Another old fun song called Old Piano Roll Blues composed by Cy Coben in 1950. Seems like it is from the ’20s. I played it often in the old days and just have fun with it. I listened to Al Jolson and the Andrew’s Sister sing it – really fun. I didn’t have the Andrew’s Sisters to back me up, so I improvised! LOL Just an amateur having fun. Hope you enjoy.… Read the rest

Nobody’s Sweetheart

Accordion Player Pat Posted on June 28, 2020 by pwalterJuly 16, 2020

Nobody’s Sweetheat is an old song composed in 1923 by Gus Kahn, Ernie Erdman, Elmer Schoebel and Billy Meyers. Being bored on a Saturday night, I decided to get the ragtime piano out. I have always played this song and people seem to like it, although I am not sure it is very well known. Thanks to the Pixabay Artists for the great, free graphics.… Read the rest

Winchester Cathedral

Accordion Player Pat Posted on June 26, 2020 by pwalterJuly 16, 2020

Winchester Cathedral was published in 1966 and the composer was Geoff Stephens. It was a fun song and I remember hearing it in 1966. The guys during lunch time played it on my first job out of college. Everyone whistled, sang and swayed. Those were the days! If you can remember them. Thanks to the talented artists at Pixabay for the great free graphics.… Read the rest

Enjoy Yourself

Accordion Player Pat Posted on June 23, 2020 by pwalterAugust 4, 2020

Enjoy Yourself- It’s later Than You Think. I always enjoyed the message of this song. We all need to enjoy ourselves now and then. All work and no play, makes a dull person. LOL Instead of playing it 3 times as a swing or polka, I decided to mix it up and go from latin to swing to waltz. Keeps a simple song from being boring and more fun for me to play. Hope you enjoy. Thank You to Pixabay and all the talented artists that share their work for free.

Dream a Little Dream of Me

Accordion Player Pat Posted on June 23, 2020 by pwalterJune 23, 2020

This is a fun song. Be happy song. I am trying to get more bass to record in my songs. This was an effort to boost the bass and chords. They sound loud when playing in a room, but the bass seems to disappear when recording. Hope you enjoy. The bass man had fun. LOL
