The Christmas Song
The Christmas Song. I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. No better way to do that than in a song. This is a beautiful song and a favorite of mine. I would normally do it as an instrumental, but I keep getting people asking me to sing. So I put my best effort forth and did a vocal with it. I hope it brightens your spiritis a bit. The Christmas Song is also commonly referred as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire” due to its famous opening lyrics and has been spreading Yuletide spirit since 1945, when it was written by pianist Mel Tormé and lyricist Bob Wells. While this beloved tune has been recorded by numerous artists over the years, none are more popular than Nat “King” Cole’s, who recorded it four times over the course of his career – and for good reason.
