This Ole House. Woke up this morning with this tune running thru my head! Back in 1954, I use to play it all the time and had the sheet music, loved it. I was 10 back then. Sitting in my little bedroom playing my accordion about like I do now, but I play in the living room these days. Still having as much fun as I did 66 years ago. Guess we don’t change much. Not perfect, but fun. I am trying out my new headset mic. Seems strange not trying to get in front of a mic while playing. Always an interesting problem. LOL I would rather just play, but people keep asking me to sing. “This Ole House” (sometimes written “This Old House”) is an American popular song written by Stuart Hamblen, and published in 1954. Rosemary Clooney’s version reached the top of the popular music charts in both the US and the UK in 1954. Hamblen was supposedly out on a hunting expedition when he and his fellow hunter, actor John Wayne, came across a hut in the mountains.
